Summertime Fun in Australia!


It's our winter but Australia's SUMMER!


This Sydney to Brisbane tour includes bucket list attractions like Port Macquarie,  Byron Bay and also includes family-run hospitality, locally-produced food and wine, and a variety of down-to-earth experiences. An active tour, enjoy nature walks, snorkeling, swimming, spotting animals in the wild on this 8-day holiday. We donate $1 per day towards the food rescue charity “Oz Harvest” for every traveller on board. They educate on how the local volunteers are helping rescue food in Australia, redistributing food to those in need.

Day 1: Sydney

  • Start in Australia's Harbour City, the glittering jewel in the east coast's crown.
  • At 6 pm meet your guide in hotel reception for introductions and a multicultural welcome dinner
  • Meals included: Dinner

Day 2: Sydney

  • Begin the day with a walking tour of Australia's most famous city. Watch how the sun glints on the Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, and even the historic ferry we take to Watson’s Bay.
  • After lunch, enjoy a walk along the east coast's towering cliffs – aboriginal rock carvings, ocean spray and stunning views.

Day 3: Hunter Valley and Newcastle

  • Leave behind Sydney's skyscrapers and sidewalks for a wildlife park, guided by a wildlife ranger.
  • We're in the heart of the Hunter Valley, so there's nothing better than to take a wine, cheese, chocolate and organic vodka tasting tour, complete with gourmet lunch.
  • Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 4: Port Macquarie via Forster

  • It's all about water today. After an amazing local breakfast, you’ll hit the scenic Lakes Way for a coastal walk.
  • Afterwards, we're off to Port Macquarie in time for a sunset cruise, with complimentary drinks and snacks to enjoy

Day 5: Dorrigo National Park

  • Start the day meeting the volunteers at a local koala hospital.
  • We finish the day in true Aussie style: a traditional pub where you can relax, order some grub, have a few drinks and even play some pool.
  • Meals included: Breakfast

Day 6: Dorrigo National Park to Byron Bay

  • It's off to Dangar Falls for a refreshing dip in its cascading waters.
  • Later, head to Byron Bay, a laid-back surf paradise with boundless coastline, sand and friendly locals. You’ll pop into an organic farm and pick and prepare a healthy lunch before paying a visit to the local lighthouse. \
  • Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 7: Byron Bay

  • Today is a day at leisure. Spend the morning on the warm sand, shopping for bargains, or indulge in one of many optional activities: yoga, surfing, kayaking or get a relaxing massage (at own cost)
  • Meals included: none

Day 8: Byron to Brisbane

  • After breakfast, you’ll travel to Brisbane where it’s time to say farewell to your travel mates... and onward travel!  Contact us for additional touring options!

Valid for travel for the departure times as indicated above. All bookings are subject to availability at time of booking.  Prices advertised reflect are subject to change without notice until such time as the package is booked and paid for.  Downunder Travel Ltd. is the agent/broker in this equation and for that reason is not responsible for any issues or incidents which result in clients expenditure outside of the package booked paid for and agreed upon. All passengers traveling to Australia must have an Australian travel Visa. Please advise your Downunder Travel Specialist should you be traveling on anything other than a Canadian or U.S. passport.  All Canadian Citizens must re-enter Canada on a valid Canadian Passport. Airfare, taxes & fuel surcharges component of package must be paid in full at time of booking at which time the airfare becomes non-refundable. We highly recommend that all passengers protect themselves with cancellation / interruption insurance which will cover them against cancellations due to non pre-existing medical conditions which cause them penalties or other expenses. We also highly recommend medical insurance for any travel outside of your home province.
