After soaking up the sun in Darwin, you’ll follow the river systems and wetlands to the gem of the Top End, Kakadu National Park. Enjoy a visit to the Warradjan Cultural Centre for informative displays depicting the traditions of the Aboriginal people in Kakadu before boarding a cruise to spot wild crocodiles, birds, water buffalo and brumbies. Depart Kakadu and hit the Stuart Highway to Litchfield National Park – natures’ very own waterpark. Swim beneath thundering waterfalls and plunge into natural waterholes before heading back to Darwin to board The Ghan for Alice Springs.
