Sydney Walking Tour

Experience Sydney from a local perspective (which, let's face it, is the bbest perspective imaginable!). Explore all the city icons like The Rocks, Sydney Harbour Bridge, and the Sydney Opera House, but explore them in a way most tourists dont. Well take the least-walked path on this Sydney walking tour and meander through this fascinating citys tumultuous history and into the modern day. This historic Sydney walk will introduce you to the old and new of Sydney, walk past Cadmans Cottage the oldest building in Australia, under the Harbour Bridge and along the newest development in the City, Baranargoo. Factual, funny, irreverent, and anecdotal  this Sydney walking tour is a great local experience packed full of Sydney history.

Fly from Sydney to Alice Springs

Day 7

Alice Springs to Ayers Rock

Our Red Centre tour begins by heading south to Erldunda travelling through the Waterhouse and James Ranges with a stop at the Camel Farm for refreshments. Stop at Mount Ebenezer Roadhouse to view and shop for Aboriginal art. 
After lunch, we head to Ayers Rock Airport and hotel and on to the Cultural Centre to learn about the local Aboriginal law and religion (Tjukurpa) before a short, guided walk at the base of Uluru (Note: Uluru is a sacred site and Anangu, the indigenous custodians, respectfully ask visitors not to climb it). 
Of course no Uluru tour would be complete without experiencing the famous changing colours of Uluru at sunset, complete with sparkling wine and nibbles.

Day 8

Ayers Rock to Kings Canyon

From a lookout close to our campsite experience an Uluru sunrise before heading off to Kata Tjuta for a leisurely 7km walk through the "Valley of the Winds". Swap stories with the tour group over a  dinner around the campfire before spending another night out under the stars.

Day 9

Kings Canyon to Alice Springs

Travel to Watarrka (Kings Canyon) for a mind-blowing 6km walk through the towering walls, crevices and plateaus of Watarrka. We'll visit the Amphitheatre, Lost City and the tranquil Garden of Eden.
Later, travel back to Alice Springs on a typical outback dirt road. We'll drop you back to your accommodation in the early evening. Later on, take the opportunity to meet up with the tour group for a final night on the town in Alice Springs. This Outback tour has shown you the best of Central Australia  a Red Centre travel experience youll never forget.

Day 10

Fly Alice Springs to Darwin

Join your transfer to the Alice Springs airport. After your flight to Darwin, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 11

Darwin to Kakadu

The first stop on your adventure is Ubirr Rock, one of the main cultural sites within the park. At Ubirr you can view a wide range of Aboriginal rock art which will be interpreted by your guide. Here you will learn about the Rainbow Serpent and climb the Nadab Lookout for excellent views over the surrounding floodplain and beyond into Arnhem Land. In the afternoon visit the Warradjan Cultural Centre to learn about the 40,000 years of aboriginal ccupation within the park. 

Day 12

Kakadu National Park to Ubirr

Today enjoy a half day hike and swim at the beautiful Gubara Springs and/or Gunlom Falls, and walk to the top of the Nawurlandja lookout with spectacular views over Kakadu. Late afternoon we will drive to Mount Bundy, close by Litchfield National Park and spend tonight at our private permanent campsite with  your fellow travellers.

Day 13

Ubirr to Darwin

Breakfast, Lunch Included


Enjoy the short journey to Litchfield National Park. Explore the waterfalls, spring-fed streams and rugged sandstone escarpments of Litchfield. Discover intriguing cathedral and magnetic termite mounds and swim, hike and explore Florence and Wangi Falls (water level dependent) as well as Buley Rockhole. Return to Darwin in the early evening.

Day 14

Fly Darwin to Melbourne

Join your transfer to the Darwin airport. After your flight to Melbourne, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Bicycle tour of Melbourne

Day 16

Wildlife spotting tour

Walk through natural bushland to meet wild koalas, then learn about each one's history and social life from your Wildlife Guide and Koala Researcher.  We may also find parrots, fairy-wrens, emus, honeyeaters, wallabies and reptiles on this tour.  Your Nature Guide will help you understand them all. At the end of the day all participants will be offered a certificate of thanks for helping wildlife, and an opportunity to stay in touch with each of the Koalas seen on the day. You will be dropped back at your pickup location.

Day 17
