Day 1

Depart Canada

Day 2

Cross the International Dateline (You will gain this day back on your return)

Day 3

Arrive Christchurch

  • Christchurch offers travellers world-class attractions, spectacular gardens, great cafes and restaurants as well as museums and soft adventure activities like golfing.

 

Day 4

Drive Christchurch to Queenstown

  • Along the way, be sure to stop at one of the world-class wineries, hiking/cycling trails and take in the stunning views of Lake Pukaki!

 

Day 5

Enjoy Queenstown

  • Energy and excitement abound in the adrenaline-pumping city of Queenstown!  From skiing to skydiving, zorbing and cruising or kayaking the Milford Sound, whatever adventure you fancy, Queenstown most likely offers it!

 

Day 6

Drive Queenstown to Franz Josef

  • One the way, you’ll pass by the incredibly scenic Mount aspiring National Park.  Be sure to stop several times to take many pictures!

 

Day 7 

Drive Franz Josef to Westport

  • The city of Westport was originally a gold town and then became a coal town. Be sure to check out the coal mining museum or various old coal towns and goldmining relics!

 

Day 8

Drive Westport to Nelson

  • From forests to rugged mountains and beaches, Nelson offers many things to see and do for its visitors.  Also known as an artsy town, the city is a hub for artists and craftspeople... you might want to pick up some traditional, or contemporary, Maori art as a keepsake!

Day 9

Explore Nelson and the Abel Tasman region

  • Mixing adventure with beach life, Abel Tasman is truly a coastal paradise that guests can explore by cruise, catamaran, water taxi or sea kayak!  It’s also a fantastic location for hiking, snorkelling and of course, relaxing on the beach.

 

Day 10

Drive from Nelson to Picton. Join the ferry to Wellington

  • Kick back and relax for the next few hours on your ferry from Picton to Wellington while reflecting on your incredible journey so far as you take in the stunning scenery all around.

 

Day 11

Explore Wellington

  • Known for quite possibly having more cafes, restaurants and bars than New York, Wellington is a culinary capital and great place to dine for the foodie at heart!  You won’t want to miss the chance to visit the Te Papa museum either with its interactive experiences on art, history, the people and more.

 

Day 12

Drive Wellington to Napier

  • In 1931, an earthquake of 7.9 hit Napier and destroyed many of the commercial buildings in the city.  When rebuilding began, they reflected the architectural style of that time – Art Deco and it never changed!  The architecture of the 1930’s is very much still alive today – try a guided walk around the ‘time-capsuled’ city! 

 

Day 13

Drive Napier to Rotorua

  • Enjoy this geothermal haven with many bubbling mud pools and natural hot springs!  This is the perfect place to unwind after a long day – soak in a natural hot stream or book a wellness package at one of the region's spas... you deserve it!

 

Day 14

Drive Rotorua to Auckland

  • Just half an hour away from beaches, and ranked as the third-most liveable city in the world, Auckland is a city of culture, unique experiences and discovery!  With fantastic shopping, great restaurants and an overall diverse city, Auckland is a great final-day city experience before you return home.

 

Day 15

Depart Auckland for home
