Itinerary:

 

Day 1: Sydney

 

  • Your East Coast Australia tour experience starts in Australia's Harbour City, the glittering jewel in the east coast's crown.
  • Meals Included: Dinner

 

Day 2: Sydney

 

  • After breakfast, set off to explore some of Sydney’s most beautiful spots on a walking tour, taking in the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. Hop on the ferry to Watson’s Bay for lunch (fish and chips!), then walk along the towering coastal cliffs – keep your eye out for dolphins swimming below.

Day 3: Hunter Valley and Newcastle

 

  • Leave the hustle and bustle of Sydney behind for the chilled out Hunter Valley. Your ranger will point out koalas and kangaroos as you make your way to a gourmet lunch
  • Included Activities: Hunter Valley wine, cheese, chocolate and organic vodka distillery tour and Wildlife Park
  • Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch

 

Day 4: Port Macquarie via Forster

 

  • After breakfast, hit Lakes Way for a coastal walk, then climb up to the lookout for exceptional views across the water.
  • Included Activities: Port Macquarie sunset cruise and Lakes Way coastal walk

Day 5: Dorrigo National Park

 

  • Meet the fuzzy patients at the local koala hospital, then travel to Dorrigo National Park, an area famous for its lush rainforest and waterfalls. End the day in true Australian style – at a traditional Aussie pub.

Day 6: Byron Bay

 

  • Splash about in Dangar Falls, then head to the laid-back surfer hub of Byron Bay. Visit an organic farm, where we’ll pick our own veggies and herbs for a healthy lunch. Head to Cape Byron lighthouse for photos.

Day 7: Byron Bay

 

  • It’s a free day today. Perhaps start the day with a swim in the ocean, indulge in a massage, or stretch out your limbs at an optional yoga class.the day is yours to enjoy.

Day 8: Noosa

 

  • Head to Noosa, one of Australia’s top surf spots and home to some of the country’s best beaches.  Walk through the national park before hitting up Noosa’s vibrant nightlife or taking it easy at your hotel.

Day 9: Fraser Island

 

  • Explore the largest sand island in the world, kick back at some of Queensland's most renowned lookouts, take a walk on the wild side, dive into a crystal-clear lake, and go dingo-discovering.

Day 10: Airlie Beach

 

  • Head back to Brisbane airport for the flight to Airlie Beach, the jump off point to the beautiful Whitsunday Islands. Enjoy free time exploring, swimming, or relaxing with a cool drink in a local bar.

Day 11: Whitsunday Islands Cruise and Airlie Beach

 

  • Leisurely day cruise around the perfect islands of the Whitsundays. Stop at the famous Whitehaven Beach, then snorkel amid coral and colourful fish, or just kick back on the boat.

Day 12: Tully

 

  • Head to historic Tully. Meet an Aboriginal family who'll escort your tour to a secluded swimming hole in the rainforest. Try your hand at Aboriginal art, as we are guided by local Jirrbal Aboriginal Artists on traditional techniques after a tour of the Ingan Cultural Centre.

Day 13: Cairns

 

  • Enjoy breakfast in a local café before we travel into the wet tropics of Far North Queensland.  We'll discover a magnificent plunge waterfall nestled in dense tropical rainforest en-route to the Atherton Tablelands.

Day 14: Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef

 

  • A trip to Australia isn’t complete without a visit to the Great Barrier Reef! Cruise around the reef, go snorkelling and learn about the efforts being made to conserve this incredible world wonder.

Valid for travel for the specific group departure time indicated above. All bookings are subject to availability at time of booking.  Prices advertised are subject to change without notice until such time as the package is booked and paid for.  A depost of $400 is required to secure your booking and full payment is required at least 60 days before your travel date.  If booking and traveling with less than 56 days to go until departure, full payment is needed at the time of booking. There will be no extensions to the travel, booking or payment periods listed above.  Downunder Travel Ltd. is the agent/broker in this equation and for that reason is not responsible for any issues or incidents which result in clients expenditure outside of the package booked paid for and agreed upon. All passengers traveling to Australia must have an Australian travel Visa. Please advise your Downunder Travel Specialist should you be traveling on anything other than a Canadian or U.S. passport.  All Canadian Citizens must re-enter Canada on a valid Canadian Passport. Airfare, taxes & fuel surcharges component of package must be paid in full at time of booking at which time the airfare becomes non-refundable. We highly recommend that all passengers protect themselves with cancellation / interruption insurance which will cover them against cancellations due to non pre-existing medical conditions which cause them penalties or other expenses. We also highly recommend medical insurance for any travel outside of your home province.
