Itinerary

 

Day 1-4: Arrive and enjoy Adelaide
  • Central Market Discovery Tour
  • Barossa Food & Wine Experience
  • Stay in a centrally located 4-star hotel

Day 5: The Ghan
  • Make your own way to Adelaide Parklands Terminal to board The Ghan for your journey to Alice Springs
  • Overnight train (The Ghan Gold Service)
  • Meals included: Lunch, Dinner
Day 6: The Ghan – Alice Springs
  • Arrive at Alice Springs Railway Station and you will be transferred to your hotel.
  • Day at leisure
  • Meals included: Breakfast
Day 7: Alice Springs – Uluru (Ayers Rock) Sunset & Barbecue
  • Depart Alice Springs through the rugged desert landscape, passing the beautiful MacDonnell Ranges.
  • Explore the amazing World Heritage listed Uluru – Kata Tjuta National Park. 
  • After a visit to the cultural centre you’ll head to the Uluru sunset viewing area. Witness the striking colour changes of Uluru, while enjoying sparkling wine and nibbles.
  • Meals included: BBQ dinner
Day 8: Uluru – Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) – Kings Canyon
  • Enjoy a warming cup of tea or coffee as the morning sun slowly changes the colour of Uluru.
  • Travel to the mystical domes of Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). 
  • In the early afternoon travel through spectacular desert scenery on your way to Kings Canyon.

Day 9: Kings Canyon – Alice Springs

 

  • This morning join your Driver Guide for the rocky climb to the canyon rim for superb views of Watarrka National Park.
  • No meals included on this day
Day 10: Farewell from Alice Springs
 
  • Your short break concludes this morning. You'll be transferred to Alice Springs Airport for your onward flight to Sydney.
Day 11-13: Sydney
  • Sydney Harbour Cruise
  • No meals included
Day 13: Depart

Valid for travel dates as indicated in the chart above.   All bookings are subject to availability at time of booking.  Prices advertised are subject to change without notice until such time as the package is booked and paid for.  Downunder Travel Ltd. is the agent/broker in this equation and for that reason is not responsible for any issues or incidents which result in clients expenditure outside of the package booked paid for and agreed upon. All passengers traveling to Australia must have an Australian travel Visa. Please advise your Downunder Travel Specialist should you be traveling on anything other than a Canadian or U.S. passport.  All Canadian Citizens must re-enter Canada on a valid Canadian Passport.  Please make sure your passport is valid for more than six months past the last day of your return date. Some countries will refuse entry if there is not at least six months validity remaining on your passport after your departure date from their country.  Airfare, taxes & fuel surcharges component of package must be paid in full at time of booking at which time the airfare becomes non-refundable. We highly recommend that all passengers protect themselves with cancellation / interruption insurance which will cover them against cancellations due to non pre-existing medical conditions which cause them penalties or other expenses. We also highly recommend medical insurance for any travel outside of your home province.
