Itinerary:

Day 1-5: Cook Islands

  • Enjoy an Overwater Cultural Night Show & Dinner (either day 1 or 2)
  • Fly to Aitutaki and enjoy a Vaka Cruise Day Tour of this stunning island (either day 3 or 4)
  • Meals included: Breakfast (all days)

Day 6-8: Sydney, Australia

  • Sydney Harbour Cruise (either day 6 or 7)

Day 9-10: Indian-Pacific Train to Adelaide, Australia

  • Enjoy one night aboard the luxurious Indian-Pacific rail from Sydney to Adelaide.
  • All meals are included aboard The Indian-Pacific

Day 11: Adelaide, Australia

  • Check into your hotel
  • Day at leisure

Day 12: The Barossa Valley

  • Enjoy the change of scenery as you make your way into the vineyards of South Australia’s premium wine region. Your first stop is TeAro Estate located in a heritage listed 1850s barn in the main street of Williamstown. In the intimate tasting room, you'll be treated to morning tea and wine tastings while hearing stories from 4 generations of family vignerons.
  • Next visit Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop^ (seasonal), an absolute must while visiting the Barossa. Maggie Beer - cook, writer and founder of 'Maggie Beer Products', offers tastings and sales of her full product range including limited edition seasonal produce.
  • On arrival at Lambert Estate at Angaston, you'll enjoy a structured wine tasting while sampling local seasonal produce from gourmet platters, followed by the main course.
  • Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 13: Adelaide – Kangaroo Island

  • An early morning pick up from your hotel for a scenic coach journey to Cape Jervis taking in the picturesque Fleurieu Peninsula with its vineyards, coastal views and rolling hills.
  • Board your luxury SeaLink coach and your local driver/guide will take you on a tour of South Australia’s premier nature-based tourism destination. Your first official stop will be at Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery, an interesting bush engineered distillery that makes the most of its environmental resources.
  • After lunch visit Seal Bay Conservation Park and enjoy a guided beach walk with a National Park Ranger amongst a breeding colony of wild and rare Australian Sea- lions.
  • Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 14: Kangaroo Island – Adelaide

  • You will be taken to the rugged southern coastline for a walk around Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch. Remarkable Rocks provide great photographic opportunities and stunning sea views. Admirals Arch boardwalk takes you down a rugged cliff face to reveal this spectacular arch, a natural nursery and safe haven for playful New Zealand fur seals that can be seen swimming and playing in the waves, or resting on the rocks.
  • After a short stop at the Flinders Chase Visitor Centre, travel through the park and enjoy breath-taking views of its unique trees, plants and coastal scenery.
  • After lunch travel to the western most part of the Island, Flinders Chase National Park, one of Australia’s largest and earliest conservation parks.
  • Travel to Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary to look for Koalas nestled up in the eucalypts, followed by a scrumptious two course lunch.
  • Ferry back to Adelaide
  • Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 15: Adelaide to Melbourne

  • Return to Adelaide, transfer to Airport and take connecting flight to Melbourne
  • Meals included: Breakfast

Day 16-18: Melbourne

  • Enjoy Melbourne’s vibrant city with its great restaurant and cafe scene.
  • No meals included during your time in Melbourne

Day 19: Return home

  • Return home via Air New Zealand

All passengers traveling to Australia must have an Australian travel Visa. Please advise your Downunder Travel Specialist should you be traveling on anything other than a Canadian or U.S. passport.  All Canadian Citizens must re-enter Canada on a valid Canadian Passport. Airfare, taxes & fuel surcharges component of package must be paid in full at time of booking at which time the airfare becomes non-refundable.
