  • Learn about the island’s history, both Indigenous and European. Your guide will also teach about the native plants and wildlife including the infamous dingo, which you have a good chance of seeing during your time on the island.
  • Tonight you will stay in Wilderness Lodge accommodation. (LD)

Day 2 – Fraser Island to Hervey Bay

  • Today you’ll hit the beach with a drive along the world’s most amazing highway, Seventy-Five Mile Beach. On the drive along the beach you will stop to see fast-flowing, freshwater streams, coloured sands and the Maheno shipwreck.
  • Climb to the top of Indian Head and look out for sharks, huge stingrays and humpback whales (July to Nov).
  • Before returning to the Wilderness Lodge for another night you will have the chance to soak in the bubbling Champagne Pools on the shoreline. (BLD)

Day 3 – Fraser Island to Rainbow Beach or Hervey Bay

  • After a drive across the island, go for a swim in the emerald green Lake Wabby before walking over Hammerstone Sandblow – a large sand feature which frames the lake with beautiful contrasts.
