2 Day Kangaroo Island Adventure Tour

Enjoy a scenic drive to Cape Jervis where you’ll then board the ferry to Penneshaw.  Take a tour around the only commercial eucalyptus distillery in South Australia.  Get amongst sea lions in their natural habitat on our guided walk at Seal Bay.  The second day you’ll visit Flinders Chase National Park, see Remarkable Rocks’ formations and see the New Zealand fur seals who reside at Admiral’s Arch.

Day 1 - Adelaide to Kangaroo Island

  • Scenic drive to Cape Jervis where we board the ferry across Backstairs Passage to Penneshaw.
  • Visit the only commercial eucalyptus distillery in South Australia at Emu Ridge.
  • See sea lions in their natural habitat on our guided walk at Seal Bay – an experience you won’t forget!
  • Scramble up the white sand hills at Little Sahara and get up close to more wildlife (including koalas) at the Hanson Bay Koala Sanctuary.
  • Overnight stay at Vivonne Bay Lodge.  Free activities include self-guided kayaking, mountain bike riding, bush walking and boogie boarding; snorkelling, eight-ball, table tennis and swimming.

Day 2 - Kangaroo Island to Adelaide

  • Spend the morning in Flinders Chase National Park.
  • Clamber on the huge granite outcrops of Remarkable Rocks and see the New Zealand fur seals who reside at Admiral’s Arch.
  • Lunch at Rocky River Headquarters, where there’s time to check out the Information Centre which is the start point for the Snake Lagoon and Platypus Walks (seasonal choice).
  • After lunch, visit Stokes Bay, where a rock tunnel leads to an idyllic and ‘secret’ beach (seasonal).
  • Return to Penneshaw, with time to purchase dinner (own expense) before returning to the mainland and Adelaide.

What to Bring:

  • Sturdy walking shoes (ankle high), hat and sunscreen, warm/waterproof clothing, water bottle, swimming gear
  • Insect repellent
  • Camera, binoculars and motion sickness tablets
  • Towel and toiletries
