Itinerary:

 

Day 1-3: Sydney

Day 1: Welcome to Sydney

  • Join your Travel Director to visit the famous Rocks Markets. Explore the narrow lanes and stroll along cobblestone streets.

  • Find your sea-legs as you board a Captain Cook Cruise for your welcome reception and dinner where you'll meet your fellow travellers.

Day 2: Sydney

  • Enjoy a tour of the Sydney Opera House with a local guide. 

  • Later, join your fellow travellers at Bondi Beach for an iconic Australian experience.

Day 3: Sydney 'Free Time'

  • Free day in Sydney seeing the sights of your choice.

Day 4-5: Sydney to Hamilton Island

Day 4: Sydney – Hamilton Island

  • This morning fly to Hamilton Island, one of the 74 sparkling islands in Queensland’s Whitsundays (airfare is not included and must be booked by your Destination Specialist).

  • The rest of the day and evening is at leisure for you to explore the picturesque surroundings.

Day 5: Hamilton Island 'Free Time'

  • Day in paradise: time to let your hair down and relax.

Day 6-7: Hamilton Island to Port Douglas and The Great Barrier Reef

Day 6: Hamilton Island – Port Douglas

  • This morning you’ll fly to Cairns (airfare is not included and must be booked your Destination Specialist).

  • Journey to the resort town of Port Douglas, nestled between two World Heritage listed areas, the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree National Park. This afternoon you can relax by the lagoon-style pool, join in one of the resort's activities or take a stroll around the village of Port Douglas.

 

Day 7: Great Barrier Reef

  • Board a Quicksilver catamaran for your cruise to renowned Agincourt Reef, at the very outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Choose to snorkel (equipment provided) or you can stay dry and explore the stunning reef from the comfort of a Quicksilver semi-sub.

Day 8-9: Port Douglas to Cairns

Day 8: Port Douglas – Cairns

  • Your first stop is Mossman Gorge for a Ngadiku Dreamtime Gorge Walk. Your indigenous guide will help you identify bush food sources and provide an enchanting narrative of the rainforest and their special relationship with this unique tropical environment.

  • Experience World Heritage rainforest with the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway.

Day 9: Cairns 'Free Time'

  • Spend today at leisure. Farewell dinner in the evening at a restaurant on the Cairns waterfront.

Day 10: Farewell from Cairns

  • Farewell to fellow travellers after breakfast and onward travel.
